One more time: it's only a 'staycation' if you STAY AT HOME. Going on holiday somewhere else within your home country isn't a staycation, it's going on holiday. When I rule the universe, this term will be at the top of the punishment list. You have been warned.
The thing that winds me up about people who insist “staycation” means “holiday in Britain” rather than “stay at home rather than go anywhere” is their wrong-on-a-billion-levels assumption that a default holiday is going abroad.
Once again we must remind the British public that it is not a 'staycation' if you are going somewhere other than your own house, then it's just a holiday. Thank you for your time.
